G.B. BURLOTTO is one of the oldest wineries in Italy. Founded by Giovanni Battista in 1850, at a time when the wine world was monopolized by the French, it was one of the first to sell wine in glass bottles. After the death of the founder in 1927, the wine firm lost some of its luster and went through a few dark years. However, G.B.'s great-great-grandson, Fabio Alessandria, is dedicated to reclaiming the title of best small vineyard in Piedmont.
