** Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is a rosé wine produced in the Abruzzo region. Its name comes from cerasa ( "cherry" in the local dialect ), refering to its fairly intense cherry-red color. Unlike many very pale rosés, Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo is more structured and fruit-forward, with aromas of cherry, strawberry, pomegranate, and sometimes spicy notes. It is often described as " a rosé that drinks like a light red wine."
