Monica Raspi has lived in Pomona since the 1990s, a small village near Castellina in Chianti, in the heart of Chianti Classico. The land, purchased by her great-grandfather in 1890, was passed down to her by her parents. A veterinarian by profession, she decided in 2007 to close her practice, pick up her oenology manual, and get behind the tractor. The vineyard covers 6 hectares, and Monica's farming practices adhere to the principles of certified organic agriculture, which she has practiced since 2012. She is supported by her husband and two children.
