Cantine Alois

Region:
Campania, Italy

Based in Pontelatone, in the province of Caserta, at the foot of the Trebulani Mountains, the Alois estate was founded in 1992 through the vision of Michele Alois. Coming from a family with historical ties to the San Leucio silk industry, Michele chose to dedicate himself to viticulture, reviving several ancient grape varieties from Alta Campania—most notably Casavecchia, Pallagrello Bianco, and Pallagrello Nero.

Today, the Alois family continues this journey with an approach deeply rooted in the terroir. The vineyards, situated on the slopes of the Caiatini Mountains, benefit from significant elevation, strong airflow, and marked temperature fluctuations. While Michele Alois remains the estate’s founding figure, his son Massimo now plays an active role in its management, upholding a family vision built on authenticity and the promotion of indigenous grape varieties.
